I joined our practice in 2001 after moving here from Indiana where I earned my certificates in Dental Assistant, Orthodontic Tech, and x-ray license. I retired there as Practice Administrator after 30 years.  When I started working here, I loved meeting the patients who had been with Dr. G years before I came as well as the new patients that all have become friends.  It is an amazing experience watching patient smiles being restored and quality of life improved.  Our staff is like an extended family. We genuinely care about each other and our patients.  As Practice Administrator I enjoy hearing your comments and ideas as I’m always thinking of ways to make your visit as pleasant as possible.  When not at the office I enjoy spending time with my family, and little doggies.  I also love watching my old alma mater IU basketball games and Hallmark Movies.

I received my Dental Hygiene license and graduated through the UAA Dental program.  Shortly after I began working with Dr. G.  I joined the practice in 2010 as a Dental Hygienist.  I love every aspect of my profession.  Every patient is different and brings a variety to the practice.  Educating each patient based on their individual needs and seeing the improvements over time is so encouraging.  Teaching children at a young age, how to take care of their teeth and have pride in their smiles makes my work very rewarding.   I was born and raised here in the Mat-su Valley and have loved the beauty of Alaska.  I enjoy sharing Alaska with my young family and creating our own memories exploring the outdoors in whatever way we can.

I attended Hygiene school in Concord New Hampshire and graduated in 2001. As an Army family we traveled through the United States.  So I have practiced my Hygiene skills in many dental offices. I have been a Hygienist for 17 years and have always enjoyed helping to make smiles beautiful. I joined the practice in 2017 after working at a Pediatric Practice here in Wasilla for 2 years. I really enjoy working in Dr. G’s office, the staff and patients welcomed me with open arms. This practice really is like family, not just the staff but patients too.  When I’m not making smiles shine, I really enjoy being with my family. We love hiking, fishing, biking and camping in this beautiful state.

I have earned my certificates at North Valley Occupational Center, Mission Hills, California.  I am certified in Dental Assisting, CPR, and Radiology.  Consequently, I am familiar with every aspect of dental assisting. I joined the practice in 2008 as a Dental Assistant. I had to leave the practice due to an emergency in the family in 2012.  After several years of working in other offices in Montana, I couldn’t wait to get back to my dental family in 2016 here in beautiful Alaska.  I love working with Dr. G. He has such a great sense of humor; he can keep you entertained while he is doing amazing dentistry.  If you are one of those people who stress about coming to the dentist, relax, laughter calms the nerves, and  will leave with a beautiful smile.  When I am not taking care of patients with Dr. G, I love to go camping in this Great Land.  My family includes Mike, 2 dogs and 4 cats.

Rosemary Tower                   Insurance Specialist

I joined the practice in 2013 as the Insurance Specialist handling your insurance and billing needs. I will strive to help you maximize your dental benefits and answer and resolve any insurance questions you may have and work with you on payment plans.  I can also handle all front desk duties when necessary. In the clinic, I am able to help with sterilization, developing and mounting x-rays, and assisting Dr. G. when needed.  I enjoy working with Dr. Gianopoulos because I have seen firsthand the quality of care and treatment he has given to each of his patients including myself and my family. When away from my dental family, I love to take advantage of all Alaska has to offer and I really enjoy beading and scrapbooking.

I began seeing Dr. G at 10 years old as a patient, when my mom found his office for my emergency broken tooth. We quickly decided to continue our family's dental care here. When I graduated high school, I became a dental assistant and after 7 years I decided to go to Dental Hygiene school in Boise, Idaho. When I returned to Alaska in 2010, Dr. G offered me my first dental hygiene position. I have since moved to Texas for 4 years and moved back and now enjoying being with my dental family and patients again. I am happily married to my high school sweetheart and have two beautiful children, Dane and Reese. We love Alaska and all the outdoors activities it has to offer.
